Look up Classes
1) Log in to Texas State Self-Service
To look up classes, a student must first log in to Texas State Self-Service. Click on the "Student" link from the Main Menu.

2) Student Menu
Click on the "Registration" link in the Student menu.

3) Registration Menu
Click on the "Look Up Classes" link.

4) Registration Term
To select a term click on the dropdown found below "Search by Term" and then click the "Submit" button.
Note: If you had previously selected a term from the Registration Menu you will not see this screen. To chose another term you would need to go back to the Registration Menu and click the "Select Term" link.

5) Look Up Classes
Select the Subject and click the "Course Search" button found at the bottom of the page.

6) View Sections
Click the "View Sections" button to see all sections offered for the course.

7) Look for Open Seats
Look for which sections have open seats. The "Act", (Actual) column, will reflect which sections have availability.
To save this class to your worksheet, click the box next to the CRN (Course Registration Number) and click on "Add to WorkSheet" button found at the bottom of the page.
To register for the class, click the box next to the CRN (Course Registration Number) and click on the "Register" button found at the bottom of the page.

Bobcat Schedule Builder Search for Open Classes
1) Log in to Texas State Self-Service
To search for open seats in Bobcat Schedule Builder you must first log in to Texas State Self-Service. Click on the "Student" link from the Main Menu.
2) Student Menu
Click on the "Registration" link in the Student menu


3) Registration Menu
Click on the "Bobcat Schedule Builder" link.
Log in to Bobcat Schedule Builder.

4) Select Term
Use the radio button to select the term you wish to register for.
Click "Save and Continue".

5) Select Campus
Click the box next to the Campus of your choice or choose "Select All Campuses".
Click "Save and Continue".

6) Select Parts of Term
Click the box next to the Part of Term you desire or choose "Select All Parts of Term".
The dates for each Part of Term are listed next to each session.
Click "Save" to continue".

7) Select Course Status
Select the radio button that best suits your needs. If searching for an "Open" seat or "Waitlist" option the first two selections are recommended.
"Open & Full w/Waitlist Open" allows you to place yourself on waitlist in case a seat opens in the future.
Click "Save and Continue".
