Request to Audit Courses

The deadline to submit this form is the census date for the course(s) you are wanting to audit. Please check the academic calendar for specific dates, or contact the Office of the University Registrar for more information.

Checklist before proceeding:

Have you registered for these courses?

In order to audit a course, you must be accepted to and eligible to register for the specified semester.

How does this work?

Once you submit this form, the Office of the University Registrar will update the status of the requested course(s) from registered for credit to auditing without credit. Once the update is complete, we will notify you by TXST email. Please make sure you fill out the form accurately.

Senior citizens, 65 or older, may audit courses without payment of tuition and fees if space is available. Registration is permitted just prior to the start of the semester, with reduction made by the tuition adjustment staff in Student Business Services (SBS). Once your classes have been updated to audit status, we will notify SBS so they may apply the tuition exemption.
