Time Tickets

Time Ticket Assignments

Summer and Fall 2024 time tickets will be assigned based off of your classification and overall earned hours as of March 4th, 2024. Overall earned hours do not include hours in progress for the current semester. Time tickets are not adjusted based on any changes to your classification or overall earned hours that occur after this date. Your Texas State GPA, not your Overall GPA, is used to calculate priority registration for the first day. Visiting and non-degree seeking students can register one week after priority registration begins.

Holds and Error Messages

If you have questions about a hold that is preventing you from registering, review our Registration Holds page for more information on who to contact. If you receive an error message, learn what it means and what your options are for responding to it and registering. The registration system may be unavailable at times. If you have any other questions or need assistance, call us at 512.245.2367 or e-mail us at registrar@txstate.edu.

Are you a returning student?

Returning students, sometimes referred to as former students or readmits, are students who have previously attended Texas State and want to return to campus to continue their studies after having been away for at least one long semester.

Undergraduate returning students must re-apply for admission. For guidance on how to re-apply, including deadlines visit the Undergraduate Admissions website.

If a graduate student does not enroll in a spring/fall term and it has been less than a year since last enrollment, the Update Enrollment Form may be used to update registration; however, graduate students who have not enrolled for over a year must submit a new application and fee through Slate. For more information, please visit the Graduate College website.

Veterans

Veterans will receive a priority registration time. If you are a veteran and you believe there is an issue with your time ticket, please contact the Office of Veterans Affairs for verification. A DD-214 (separation paperwork) or copy of active orders will be required to verify veteran status if you have not already provided such documentation.
